Helping support the next generation of leaders is one of the ways Garber is giving back to the community.
Garber is proud to partner with Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, to offer the Garber Cardinal Business Edge Program of Distinction.
This two-year leadership development program is designed for incoming Business majors who want to grow professionally.
“When we were approached about the Garber Cardinal Business Edge opportunity, it was attractive two-fold,” Dick Garber said. “Number one, because we wanted to solidify and grow our relationship with the university, and selfishly, develop a better relationship to have access to some of the graduating students to help grow our organization and make us better.”
Most of all, students will be able to have access to hands-on learning experiences that will help them grow professionally.
“We wanted to provide resources to help the learnings of these young people and expose them to things that they might not get in the traditional classroom,” Dick Garber added. “As a result, we saw that as a win-win.”
As part of the Garber Cardinal Business Edge Program, students will join a limited community of up to 25 exceptional students who will spend their first two years of college working together as a team.
Students will be mentored by a team of academic and business leaders such as our own leaders from Garber. Leaders will come alongside students to help teach, inspire and highlight our work culture and leadership.
